my release date 60 gig ps3 modded with the Kmeaw 3.55 CFW, use multiman version 1.14, it takes care of the lv2 an permissions fix, i used the blackbox FTP v1.2 and flashFXP to transfer my games from my computer

Modding PS3 With Kmeaw 3.55 to Play Backups

1 – make sure your ps3 is on retail firmware, official playstation firmware….
(if its not then download the official firmware an install from recovery mode)
2 – once your ps3 is on the official fireware download the kmeaw 3.55 CFW

3 – install this firmware the same as the official in step 1 through recovery mode…

4 – once firmware is installed u’ll see 2 new options in your games section…
(app_home/PS3_Game/ and install package files)

5 – now to get backups running on your ps3, you’ll need to install a manager
(such as multiman, rogero, gaia im sure theres more out there, this is just what i tried)

6 – put the pkg files of your choice on a fat32 formatted flash drive an then put it in your ps3 an from
the game section go to install package files…. you then see your pkg files you have on your
flash drive.( if you dont, make sure your flash drive is in fat32 an you pkg files are on the root
of your flash drive.)

7 – once your package files are installed they’ll show up in the games section of the xmb, you can
then start copying your games to your ps3 from the blu-ray drive. if you have games on your computer
then you need to use a ftp program to transfer the games… blackboxftp is the package i installed for this
and some of the backup managers will allow this as well, you’ll just have to enable the option on your manager

8 – you should be able to run your games like this without problems… remember this is a hack an Sony does not
support this… sometimes you may have crashes, or games that will not start.. if you have problems gettin your
games to start then try different methods. you can try to lauch your games from inside the manager, from
the xmb with your /app_home/PS3_Game/ option on the games section, or by putting an actual game in the
console… it will show up as the game you picked from the backup manager. if everything else fails then you
should try changing the eboot file, ive not had to since the new permission fix an lv2 was intergrated, it takes
care of all this for you, but if it dont then try the eboot

NOTES – this CFW worked for me only when updating from the retail 3.55 firmware, it will not work updating from
any other firmwares or other custom firmware, it has to be the Official Sony 3.55 Firmware. Make sure to use the
latest verson of the package files also… they are always tweaking an fixing problems from the managers so this
could cause problems for some ppl getting the games to lauch… latest mulitman is 3.15, you can also update
your multiman from inside
the manager.

You MUST have a Wii.
It MUST have the HomeBrew Channel Installed.
You NEED either an SD Card, Flash Drive, or HDD with at LEAST 2GB FREE.
It MUST be formatted to FAT32 or NTFS. WBFS will NOT work.
*NOTE- This does NOT allow Game Cube Loading from USB.
Only BACKUP Games YOU OWN.
You NEED base IOS58 installed.
To play the Backup, your Wii MUST be modded to read DVD-R Discs.
It ALSO MUST be patched for Game Cube DVD-R Backup.

When finished, it will place the “Game Title”.ISO on your USB drive or SD card if you chose that option.
Copy that to your computer, and use Nero or IMGBurn to burn the disc to a DVD-R. NOT +R. You can use any program that recognizes .ISO files to burn it also.

BTW, speed of burning HAS NO EFFECT on the quality of the disc. It depends what your computer and or DVD Drive can handle. No matter what anyone says, it does NOT matter. Do the research if you wish.

If you installed Darkcorps on your Wii, then it will read the Backup right through the Disc Channel.

How to uninstall 3.55GeoHot and install waninkoko:

1.Download official 3.55 firmware(google it)

2. Use ur usb stick, formatted FAT32. At the root of your usb stick(when u browse the stick) make a folder called PS3,Then inside PS3 make folder called UPDATE. Drag the file u downloaded(3.55 official firmware) in there(UPDATE folder).

3.use ur usb stick on your ps3, install same as you installed jailbreak(go to system update, storage media)

HOW TO JAILBREAK:
1. Install the PS3 Custom Firmware PUP on your Flash Drive
2. Update to OFFICAL 3.55 Before Updating To 3.55 on your flash drive
3. Once updated to OFW 3.55 Go to System Update
4. Click “Install From Media” and it Should say 3.55-waninkoko
5. Go ahead and click OK, BUT FOR GOD SAKE DO NOT UNPLUG YOUR PS3!!!
6. If Update Goes OK, Delete The UPDATE.pup form your USB Drive, And Copy over “multiMAN”
7. Power up your PS3 and go to “Install Package Files” When the USB drive is plugged in
8. Go ahead can click “multiMAN”
9. Verifiy that its installed, and go ahead and launch it.
16. Backup a game, either to your internal HDD or and external HDD, mount it then play it .

HOW TO COPY LARGE GAMES IN FAT32
HARDRIVE!

1. download PS3Splitter from
link in description

2. install and run the program

3. go to Options and select
where you want to save the
split game

4.go to Execute and select
folder where game is saved

just wait for it…..
it took about 15-20 min for a 20GB game
the game i split is Drake 2

now just copy it to a BIG FAT32 HDD and have fun!!
