This really is a very unique product. It has all of the functionality of three different devices, but the overall package really isn’t that big

I’m looking for the most efficient (cheapest but still good) option for backing up family photos and such. I’d rather it not be integrated in my computer, so an external raid enclosure with mirroring would be cool unless there’s a better idea. I basically just want to not have to worry about HDD failure, but don’t want to complicate storage with manual or weird software backup.
Specific products would be nice… Thanks!

I have 1TB external HDD and I use it to store my backups as well as certain documents and movies.. I have a folder dedicated just for those. I also have a weekly backup that windows does and recently it has been giving me the "Last Backup Failed" message which got me looking into the depths of the hard drive and I’ve noticed that there are backups from a LONG time ago still on there just taking up space.
1. I’m going to delete those backups and create a new one but I want to know if there is a way that I can make the new weekly backup set replace/delete the old one instead of just making another backup set
2. There are 8 folders on my HDD with scrambled nonsense names like "0bb82abc523b825175447de8" and all they have in them is "MRT.exe" which I found out is a malicious software removal tool. I’m pretty sure it would be ok to delete those folders but I just want to make sure
3. Also recently every time I try to open the folder I have those certain docs and movies in, it takes forever to load. I open it and the green loading bar starts going across and it takes about 2-3 minutes for everything to show up all at once. The file names changed and now show the file type now too as in "The Godfather.avi" when it should be just "The Godfather". Any fix for this?
windows backup in my opinoin is awful, nothing like apples time machine so i really recconmend you manually backup your informationa nd files you NEED . 1TB is more than enough so say, you have 10gb of work documents, copy and paste them into the hardrive, then when you update them , delete the previous ones off your 1TB external then copy and paste the updated ones.
remember, external drives brake just as easily as there just pc hardrives in an enclosure so i also recconmend online backup.

My windows is installed into my HDD and i want to remove it completely but Toshiba had it given on a harddisk only with its toshiba software aswell…
so how can I save all the toshiba programs and the windows itself so that i wont lose my original copy,
i would prefer having a hard copy like on some DVD or something instead on my harddisk in HDDRECOVERY on disk D…. please help 
You will need to purchase something like Norton Ghost or some other type of imaging software.
