I mounted my external hard drive exactly how you showed and Carbonite, however, when I right click on my new folder or any folder that I have on my hard drive (through the new path as you showed) Carbonite does not appear as an option. When I clicked properties, there is a Carobinite tab and it states ” “Folder path not selected for back up.” Any ideas what to do? Thank you!

thanks man, really appreciate this tip. It worked for me when I first mounted my ext 1 TB HDD, but now some new folders I’ve added to the hard drive can’t be backed up. Just says system folder not backed up, doesn’t give me any options to back up under Carbonite. The original folders/files I had when I mounted the drive are all backed up. Any ideas? Running Win XP – fiully paid Carbonite subscription
